Here are some of my personal favorite books.
I am willing to loan out any books to students who will take care of them
and return them promptly.

A novel about would-be princesses and the destiny of one determined girl
2. The Watsons go to Birmingham - 1963 (a Newberry Honor book)
A family road trip from Michigan to Alabama that lis like no other
3, Feathers by Jacqueline Woodson (a Newberry Honor book)
A novel about growing up and learning how to manage your way in
an ever-changing world
4. Elijah of Buxton by Christopher Paul Curtis (a Newberry Hono book)
The story of a boy living in a runaway slave settlement in Canada
who has to return to the south to help a friend
5. So B. It by Sarah Weeks (a Bluebonnet Book)
A girl with an unconventional life style who searches for the secrets of her past
6. The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Spear (Newberry Award Winner)
The story of an orphaned girl living in the colony of Connecticut who has to
deal with the Puritan laws of the times and the fears that accompany them
7. Among the Hidden by Margaret Peterson Haddix (An ALA Best Book)
The story of a "Shadow Child", a child forbidden to exist by the government, and
how he survives
8. The Mysterious Matter of I.M. Fine by Diane Stanley (a Bluebonnet Book)
This book is described as quirky, fast-paced, and humorous. Let me know what you think!
